- Gemma Noonan Review added: 2018.08.07★ ★ ★ ★ ★We walked up past the church and up onto the south path going, which does get a little steep towards the top (not wheelchair friendly) but lovely views all the way up and many benches along the path to rest at. The path on the north is more gentle but a little longer. The monument itself is very looked after, believe you can go in it but we arrived before it opened. There's plaques at the top guiding you as to what you can potentially see when up there eg Blackpool tower, the different mountain names and even cities like Liverpool. We had a lovely morning walk here before driving home.
